During graphic recording, an illustrator accompanies a lecture or discussion, visualising what is said in real time. They write the key terms on large notice boards or flip charts, make connections through images, illustrate theories and examples, and capture emotions, asides, questions and points of contention.
This helps participants to easily follow the common thread running through the event. Even abstract topics can be visualised using images and symbols, serving as an instant recap for participants.
Graphic recording is not only suitable for lectures, conventions and conferences, but also for presentations and information events, panel discussions, training modules and team meetings. You will find examples of my work in the Portfolio section.
